PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Dr. H. Michael Sefranek graduated from the University of Connecticut Dental School in 1989 and began practicing in Manchester, CT in 1991. He was awarded the Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) degree in 1999. One of a select group nationwide, he received the Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) degree in August of 2006, focusing on dental education in sixteen areas of dentistry. Nationally 1% of all dentists achieve this level of education. He is past president of New England Mastertrack IV, a group dedicated to achieving the highest degree of training within the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the New England Master Study Club. In 2008 he was elected President of the Rhode Island chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry.
The doctor is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and has been a clinical faculty member and guest lecturer at the University of Connecticut’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. He has been a clinical research associate at NYU School of Dentistry through the PEARL Network.
The doctor, as New England Chapter Past President of the International Association for Orthodontics provides seminars in orthodontics and children's dentistry. This organization is the longest continually operating non-specialty school and study group, dedicated to the latest advances in children's dentistry and orthodontics. He is also a certified Invisalign ® provider and has attended numerous seminars on techniques in implants, crown and bridge , cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, periodontics and dentures, as well as other dental topics. The doctor has been licensed in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Doctor Sefranek has been residing and practicing in the Barrington, Rhode Island area since 2001. Our Fall River, Massachusetts location opened in 2005.
In 2015 the doctor purchased the 2302 GAR Hwy., Swansea, MA property, which was located ideally between both of our offices. In 2017 the Doctor designed and built a spacious, state of the art 3,000 sq. ft. dental office building. Both practices were relocated in December of 2017 into the new building.
